The question has been asked, the answer has been given, now the planning work begins. Make this part of the process as easy as possible and let the Columbia Bridal Associates (CBA) do all the hard work for you.

The heart of the CBA is made up of of Columbia's finest wedding vendors thet provide services in different categories. From Columbia wedding venues, to florists, DJ's and photographers each of our members has come together to make your planning process the easiest that it can be.

strict vendor criteria

One of the hardest parts of the wedding process is making sure that your vendors are people that are actual professionals and will not leave you dissapointed. You can do this by spending countless hours scowering the web for reviews and asking around to anyone that may know, or as an alternative you can let the CBA's strict standards do this for you.

Each vendor that is a part of our association not only goes through the strictest of peer review processes but also must be approved by our board of directors who in some cases have lifetime and/or generations worth of wedding experence. This strict selection process can give you the utmost confidence in knowing that selecting a CBA member means you are selecting the best of the best.

Columbia Wedding Venues

Selecting the perfect location for your Columbia wedding can be a truly hard task. Does the venue have enough space for my guests, does it provide catering, chairs, outdoors, indoors? All these things to consider can make this process incredibly difficult.

The CBA has broken down our wedding venue categories into many subcategories in order to make this process simpler. Start dwindling your venue list right now by selecting a category below

  • Wedding Venues - Full Service (provides on-site catering. etc.)
  • Wedding Venues - Limited Service (just the venue, you provide the rest)
  • Country Clubs
  • Hotels - Full Service (large ballrooms, catering, sleeping rooms)
  • Hotels - Limited Service (small meeting rooms, sleeping rooms)

No rules

There are no rules to using any of the services and/or members of the Columbia Bridal Association. Need only a few vendors such as a Photographer and DJ? That's fine, select one of our members and know they will work well with all of the other non member vendors that you have selected. Need ideas for your Columbia wedding? Feel free to use our website and/or request our planning guide.

wedding vendor relationships

As you look around the internet you are bound to find horror stories of how certain vendors did not get along with each other and that sour relationship ultimately impacted the wedding in a negative way.

The CBA promotes strong vendor relations and holds bi-monthly meets where the vendors can interact and also learn together. In addition to these bi-monthly meetings there are also a few association sponsored get-togethers a year where all the vendors just hang out and have fun in order to strengthen these relationships further.

These strong vendor relationships can not only work to insure there are no problems but also work to actually make your wedding better. The energy that is shared and showed between our members only grows as there are more and more of them together.

we travel

With Columbia being centrally located in the state this gives all of our members easy access to other areas in the state. If you're having your wedding in Charleston, Greenville, or Myrtle beach, you can still let the CBA work for you.

Wedding Phots at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, Columbia, SC, Emily and Andrew

Just about a year ago, Emily’s mom Amy came in to visit with me to chat about Emily and Andrew’s wedding. Emily and Andrew had just moved to Charlotte, both with new jobs, and they couldn’t get much time off from work for wedding planning, so finding a photographer was one of Emily’s mom’s assignments.

Luckily, she selected us to be their wedding photography team. I absolutely love it when we get to work with such really down-to-earth, nice, and appreciative clients, and the Creel family was just that!

In March of this year we finally got to meet Emily when she came in for her bridal portrait session. What a beautiful bride…inside and out! Now I was even more excited for the wedding day!

April 14th was an absolutely gorgeous spring day in South Carolina. I don’t know why there are so many brides who want to be June brides (I was a June bride)…but April seems pretty perfect to me! It was a beautiful ceremony at Mt. Hebron UMC followed by quite a party at Pine Island. We had to steal the bride and groom away for a few minutes to take advantage of the awesome lake views!

After some cake, toasts, dancing, and partying, the newlyweds departed on a friend’s boat. Congratulations guys…and thanks for sharing your wedding day with us!
